The Art of Living Foundation’s Part 1 course teaches a powerful breathing-based technique called Sudarshan Kriya, or the healing breath, incorporating specific natural rhythms of breath to release stress and bring the mind to the present moment.

The lungs are one of the most important sites of elimination of impurities from the body, and yet we only use 30% of their capacity. The breathing exercises make the most efficient use of the lungs and effectively eliminate impurities from the body.
